So life has been pretty normal lately, to the point of boring...
And that's hard for me. But for many people that is normal.
The weather hasn't been helpful either.
We have had 2 weeks of almost non stop rain and it isn't ending.
When there was a ridge of fine weather, it would only last one day, I made the most of it and either walk the dogs or take my horse out for a ride on the beach.
And only on the beach because all the farm land and tracks are too soft and slippery.
The trek that was planned for 2,3rd of October was cancelled because of the terrible wet weather conditions.
So then comes along my neighbour, who own the forest( which has been cut down in June)and they came for a cuppa and a chat.
She asked me if I could be available to come with them to Australia, to mind her husband who has early Alzheimers, and she wants to travel on to Malaysia to watch the motorbike races and someone needs to watch Robert.
It is all paid for including a luxury accommodation holiday home and all food and spending money included.
All I have to do is organise some activities( not every day) things to do and see in Melbourne and make sure Robert doesn't get lost.
Brian said," well this is one way to say thank you for letting us ride in your forest with our horses for the last 13 years." So I thought about it for a day with Brian and at the end of the day I said yes . They had someone else organised who had cancelled . So now I am doing it instead.
And it is a change of scenery. Brian and the dogs and ponies will be ok. It's for 3 weeks, and after 3 weeks Jos will come and pick me up( Jos is my son who lives in Melbourne too)and stay with him for 3 days and meet his fiancee's family.
So it's 25 days altogether that I am in Australia. Next Sunday I am flying out with them.( Sunday the 16th of October)
I'm quite excited and a bit terrified as well.
