So this time all 3 of us decided to go for a bike ride through the Karangahake gorge.
Me on my e-bike, the other 2 our bikes we already have.
We start at the Waikino train station( end of the Waihi line)
There is good parking there and we take off our bikes. I come with the Camry and have my e-bike on the rack and Brian comes with the Campervan and has 2 bikes attached.
There is an underpass just as we start out and then a bike path that we follow.
After that we go over a bridge and that leads into a 1 km tunnel. There is a good light in the tunnel so that helps.
After we come out of the tunnel there is an other bridge we have to go over before we can carry on the trail ride track.
From there we keep following the river towards Paeroa. We almost get to Paeroa when we decide to eat our lunch under a shady tree and after that to head back the same way.
