Now I have a car!!!

Yes, after my meltdown and after Liat's suggestion of me maybe hiring a car from Budget car rentals, I slept on it( an afternoon nap) and I got a real peace about it that it was right for me.
The next day I rang the Budget car rentals,( we had seen them the day before) and told them I wanted to rent a car for 8 days. So after a nice stay in Haifa but stuck in one place because of no busses, I packed up my stuff on Monday morning, and got a taxi who took me to the Budget car rentals.
So then I got a nice Hyundai car, automatic.
When I started to drive, I was a bit nervous, but I had my phone car holder and stuck it up and turned on the GPS and it guided me right to the motorway and once I was on the motorway, I started to relax a bit. Then it became easier as I got used to the right side of the road driving. But I made a wrong turn and got into a wrong road but the GPS guided me to go to the next exit and then back to highway 70.
I drove to the Shavit family guest house where, once I arrived, got shown, I was in the top floor attic room, with 2 sets of stairs and the last set was a wooden spiral staircase. Someone took my suitcase up there( which I couldn't have done myself) Up there I had a double bed with own bathroom and shower and it even had a spa bath in the room.( never used it) I went straight for the pool . I was so hot.
I had dinner there that night, nice casserole lamb with cooked veges in it, whole garlic bunch in it, whole onion and sweet potato in gravy. Plenty of it but it was $45-. Food, eating out and such is really expensive. Luckily I had bought bread, margarine and  jam and coffee so I didn't need to have breakfast with them( that would have been $20-
The next day I got picked up for a horse trek with Yair Sharet. He took me to Kibbutz Lavi and I recognised some things there. We did a 4 hour horse trek. There was also a Dutch girl( 24) and that was all the people. She was surprised that I was also Dutch. I rode a nice quarter horse very quiet and reliable. She rode a hot headed Arab cross. A few times we cantered but her horse always ran way ahead of us and I think she found it hard to stop her. I taught her the one stop rein.

After the ride Yair took us to the Tiberias lakeside and showed us an old excavation of a synagogue of the Byzantine era. It had a mosaic motif of the Zodiac and orthodox Jews have tried to scratch it off.
It was so hot  and so many people out and about. It was so busy with people. The Dutch girl said she had swam in the lake hoping for a cool down, but no, the water was also very warm( probably 30 C)
We only had a bit of morning tea and now it was 4 pm, and I was getting really hungry. Yair took me back and I hopped in my car and went to the town centre of Tiberias and found a burger bar called " Burgerim". I had a twin pack of 2 mini burgers and some chips. I have noticed, by the way, that there are LOTS of ultra orthodox jews here. At least 9 out of 10 wear thick glasses I have noticed. Not sure why that is.
So my burgers I ate at 5 pm so I was ok for night time and didn't need their expensive dinner.
Next day I ate my bread and some honey and a coffee and signed out. I drove to Cheryl Burlow, a beautiful lady who is friends of friends but she is also the cousin of Gaye Master's husband Brian. Small world aye? She is living in a small hamlet up in the hills above the Sea of Galilee.
I had a good time with her. Her husband is a tour guide .
So after a nice time and a sandwich with her I drove to the hotel I am staying in now called" Restal" which I think means " rest all".
Good hotel, although a bit old and worn but very good price. GPS took me to it.
Tomorrow I am going to try and see some sights, mainly: Capernaum, Mount of Beatitudes, Bethsaida, Tagba and Magdala and hopefully also Ginosar where there is the 2000 yer old Galilee boat.( possibly Jesus had used that boat).
Had dinner at the Hotel ( buffet) really good and cheaper than at the Shavit family.
Now I am going to sleep.  That's all for today.
